Round Clarifier

A round Clarifier is a settling basin and its function is to treat the Wastewater that reaches it and separate the Sludge from the mud. The sludge sinks to the bottom of the basin while the Scum rises to the surface of the water. he Bridge rotates continuously without a stop by a peripheral driving system. The sludge sweepers sweep the sludge into the central sump and from there out through the sludge discharge pipe located at the bottom of the central sump.

  • Basin Diameter: 10 to 13 meters

Operations Mode

Wastewater enters through a pipe in the basin center. While the sewage settling in the basin the Sludge sinks to the bottom of the basin and the Scum rises to the surface. The Bridge rotates continuously without a stop by a peripheral driving system. The inner side of the Bridge is fixed to a concrete pillar in the center of the basin by slewing bearing. Sludge scraper sweeps the Sludge into the central sump. The sediment is removed through a pipe which is located at the bottom of the main pit. The scum is swept away by the scum scraper and pushed to the extent of the basin until it reaches the scum box and is flushed by the automatic flushing system through the removal pipe. The scum buffer prevents scum exit through the weirs. The clean water flows through the peripheral weirs and exit through the peripheral effluents canal.

  • Weekly Treatment: visual inspection to check that the bridge turns normally.
  • Semiannual Treatment: Strengthening all bolts, grease drive assembly bearings, grease central bearing, checking wheels, rubber blades and oil gear.
  • Annual Treatment: It is recommended to empty the clarifier wastewater and check the sludge scraper, waste water inlet pipe and make sure the main sump is clean and there is no disruption to the sludge flow.
  • Transmission is filled with a synthetic oil gear. First oil change after 5 years.
  • Synthetic oil viscosity VG 320
